A Delicious Rich Chocolate Coin Made From Fine Milk Chocolate Encased In A Gold Foil Wrapper With An Embossed Design Featuring The Palace Or Holyroodhouse Façade.
This Grand West Facing Façade Was Begun Under The Reign Of James V Of Scotland For Whom The Northwest Tower Is Named, This Tower Situated On The Left Of The Façade Is The Oldest Surviving Part Of The Palace. The Façade Was Later Remodelled Under The Reign Of Charles Ii By His Scottish Architect Sir Willaim Bruce Who Designed The Southwest Tower In A Gothic Style To Mirror The Existing One And Create A Symmetrical Façade. The Fountain Featured In The Forecourt Was Built By Robert Matheson In 1859 To A Design Based On The Fountain At Linlithgow Palace Originally Built In 1538.
